Mount Toubkal Trekking

• Morning Transfer: Your adventure begins with a scenic 1.5-hour drive from Marrakech to the village of Imlil (1,740m), the gateway to the High Atlas. Along the way, enjoy the stunning views of terraced farms and surrounding mountains.
• Start the Trek: After meeting your local guide, mules, and crew in Imlil, begin your trek towards the Toubkal base camp (3,207m). The trail takes you through picturesque villages and past juniper forests as you ascend steadily.
• Lunch at Sidi Chamharouch: Enjoy a well-deserved break and lunch near the shrine of Sidi Chamharouch, a spiritual spot for local Berbers.
• Arrival at Base Camp: Reach the Toubkal base camp in the afternoon, where you’ll settle into a mountain refuge for dinner and overnight rest.

• Early Morning Ascent: Begin your ascent of Mount Toubkal before dawn to reach the summit by mid-morning. The climb is challenging but rewarding, with panoramic views of the entire Atlas range and, on clear days, as far as the Sahara Desert.
• Summit Experience: Spend time at the summit, capturing the breathtaking scenery and enjoying a sense of accomplishment. Your guide will share insights into the mountain’s history and significance in the local culture.
• Descent to Base Camp: After soaking in the views, descend back to the base camp for lunch and some well-deserved rest.
• Afternoon Free Time: Relax and explore the surrounding area, or interact with fellow trekkers at the refuge.

Trekking Time: 7-8 hours (ascent and descent)

• Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
• Overnight: Toubkal Refuge

• Descent to Imlil Valley: After breakfast, begin your descent from the base camp towards the beautiful Imlil valley, passing through Aremd, the largest Berber village in the area. The trail offers stunning views of terraced fields and walnut trees.
• Berber Village Visit: Arrive in Aremd, where you’ll have the chance to experience the unique lifestyle of the Berber community. Enjoy a traditional lunch prepared by local families.
• Evening in a Gîte: Spend the evening in a charming guesthouse (gîte), savoring authentic Moroccan cuisine and exchanging stories with fellow trekkers.

Trekking Time: 4-5 hours

• Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
• Overnight: Gîte in Aremd

• Final Descent: After a leisurely breakfast, begin the final leg of the trek from Aremd to Imlil. Enjoy the last views of the stunning High Atlas Mountains as you make your way down to the starting point.
• Transfer Back to Marrakech: Upon arrival in Imlil, your driver will be waiting to take you back to Marrakech, where your adventure concludes in the afternoon. You’ll have plenty of time to explore the vibrant city or relax at your hotel.
