Day 1Marrakech to M’hamid
Your family journey begins with an early departure from Marrakech, crossing the scenic High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass. Around noon, you’ll arrive in Ouarzazate, often called the “Gateway to the Desert,” where you’ll have lunch before continuing through the Anti-Atlas Mountains to the Draa Valley. Enjoy a stunning sunset, followed by dinner and a night under the desert sky at our bivouac.
Day 2Trek to Doula Dunes
Awake to the magical sunrise over the desert and enjoy breakfast before starting your trek towards the captivating Doula dunes. The day is spent exploring the golden sands, accompanied by experienced camel drivers. In the evening, gather around the campfire to enjoy a traditional meal and spend the night under the stars or in a tent.
Day 3Doula to Erg Bartam Dunes
After breakfast, continue your trek deeper into the Sahara towards the impressive Erg Bartam dunes. Enjoy a peaceful tea ceremony as the sun sets over the dunes, followed by a delicious tagine dinner. The stillness of the desert at night provides a serene and unforgettable experience—choose to sleep beneath the stars or inside your tent.
Day 4Journey Back to M’hamid
Begin the day with a hearty breakfast before setting off on your journey back towards M’hamid. Embrace the tranquility of the desert as you walk alongside the caravan, feeling a deep connection to the nomadic way of life. Dinner and overnight at the bivouac mark the end of your desert adventure.
Day 5Return to Marrakech
After breakfast, you’ll depart from M’hamid and make your way back to Marrakech. Enjoy a lunch stop in Agdz before continuing up the picturesque Draa Valley. The journey concludes with a drop-off at your hotel or riad in Marrakech, where you can reflect on the unforgettable memories created during your Sahara desert camel trek.
